I personally don't think its worth it because when you first purchase the monitor, it would be best to test it for backlight bleeding, IPS glow, etc. From that point If you have let's say, backlight bleeding, then you should swap it out for another one until you get the best one. Once you have a solid monitor, then you won't have to really worry because Asus has a 3 year warrant on this monitor.
