ALL ASUS routers have built-in firewalls which are highly configurable. However filtering by port number requires some advanced knowledge of scripting. DDos attack protection can be switched on/off in the Firewall tab.

A router is a natural firewall by it's very nature but this one also has a switch to enable/disable the firewall of the router as well as various other firewall customizations. If you go to the Asus web site you can access the manual for the model you are interested in for more details.
