It might, but a lot depends on how much interference you will be subject to from your A/C ducting. If you find that you have signal degradation over that span, you can alleviate it by using a pair of TP-Link Powerline Ethernet adapters and adding a 5 or 8-port Netgear switch at the garage TP-Link Powerline adapter terminus to provide the necessary additional wired ethernet for your garage gear. I would also recommend you set up and assign static IPs for all your devices. It will save you many headaches.
