Great!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a much needed upgrade, it replaced an older router I had for a few years now, and I should of bought this a long time ago. I could tell the difference immediately. We have better coverage in our house, faster speeds, and the devices we have that had wifi6 now seem so much faster. I love the interface and app, I thought it was going to be hard to leave/use anything but Linksys, but I was over it as soon as I fired it up.

Highly Recommended
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far the easiest setup ever that I did on a router. Out the box, plug it in, input all the details you want, i.e. network name, password, router log in, that’s it,..! No frills, no hassle,..! I’m done with Netgear routers, they are amazing when they’re working, but horrible when it starts to age, somehow 4-5 months is old enough for it to go breakdown. I’ll update this review after a couple of months, but ao far the connection is stable, and REALLY fast,..!

Excellent Router look no further. Asus Wifi 6
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was tired of Links's and Netgear routers not working or firmware issues. A friend told me about ASUS routers. I have high demand for router reliability and performance. This Asus router checked all the boxes. It has been very low maintenance for me and they have kept providing updates to this router as well. I utilize the Guest Network for IoT and Streaming Sticks and keep my main network isolated. I'm extremely pleased with this WiFI 6 Router. for Novice and Professionals. I have good strength inside and outside on my property

Pairs with an ASUS RT-AX88U in AiMesh
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router to pair with my ASUS RT-AX88U in a AiMesh and so far the set-up in a wireless configuration has been working extremely well. I'm very happy with my decision. I initially tried to use an ASUS ZenWiFi AX (AT8) to replace my ASUS RT-AX88U but I couldn't get the routers to work with my Sonos set-up unless I wired one of the Sonos speakers. I returned those routers, bought the RT-AX86U, paired it with the RT-AX88U and never looked back.

Fantastic for WiFi 6 gaming and IOT
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a gigabit internet connection and this router is fully able to take advantage of that - even over WiFi with WiFi 6! It’s incredible seeing gigabit+ speeds with no wires attached. Currently there are 18-19 devices connected at a time and I expect that number to grow, this thing handles it like a champ.

Fast, reliable
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is full featured and is fast. With MerlinWRT it is easy to unlock even more features. AIMesh let me use my older routers as additional access points and set up a full mesh system throughout my property. The 2.5gbps port, acting as WAN, lets me get my full internet speed to the router and LAN port aggregation lets me get that full speed to the rest of my network.

Asus RT-AX86U review: The best Wi-Fi 6 router for the moneyNow, there's a new model: the Asus RT-AX86U, available now for $250. As the addition of an "X" in the model number might suggest, it supports 802.11ax, better known as Wi-Fi 6. That means that in addition to the existing, gaming-centric features

Q: QuestionWill still need to get a router for this right?
Asked by JOHN.
- A:Answer If you mean modem then yes. This is a router. So the modem is used to translate the internet signal coming in to your house and it connect to this router which manages that connection through WiFi or hard wire.

Q: QuestionSo, I have a router currently that allows for a certain amount of channel changing through the 2.4 & 5G spectrum of channels but doens't allow for all of them. Do you know if this routers capable of specific channel selection?
Asked by DougH.
- A:Answer You can select 2.4 and 5g channels. I had to change the channels from auto to a fixed channel on 5G as my Astro headset would cut out on when the frequencies matched. I selected a channel range outside the one of the headset and now it works great.

Q: QuestionWould this router cover a home with approximately 2700 sq. ft.? Thanks !
Asked by Larz75.
- A:Answer Yes. Easily. My house is two floors with a brick chimney in the middle and I get 95% 4-5 bar. The router also supports AI mesh so you can buy another compatible ASUS router and use it as a network access point (AP) with the same SSID as the router if you needed it (but you most likely will not).
