- Answer No, it is not compatible, this model is required to install a driver to work and you cannot install the driver on the Chromebook.

- Answer As long as your have the correct USB connecting port, it will work on any Windows laptop or Macbook. Will mostly likely work on a Linux OS with the right driver. But I have not tried that.

- Answer Yes, you can use it to watch DVD/HD movies. You will need video player software to play movies. Real Player software was not tested for compatibility.
