“I've read that sometimes the software for the colorful keyboard is not working or either is not performing the customized colors properly. I am buying this mostly because for that. Is this a common issue? Something with drivers? Smth else? Is it fixable?”

This is more of a user error than a problem. Most people don’t know you have to download the “ROG Aura Core” app from the Microsoft App Store. It’s free, and it lets you set the keyboard to the color you want with the effect you want.
