• Yes, generally it takes some time for a new computer to reach the manufactures own website. Also some computers are made for specific retailers and have a unique model number for the retailer (like bestbuy). Therefore the only time it will show up on the website is for warranty and support information.

• I purchased this laptop yesterday (6/14) and the salesmen at Bestbuy told me that these laptops had just arrived the day prior (6/13) - So yes, it's brand new. It's a great computer.
