• No, it can only be DDR4 since the mainboard only supports DDR4.

• I dont think so. You cant put DDR3 in DDR4 slots and vice versa. Also, Skylake CPU does not officially support DDR3. You need at least DDR3L or DDR4 for it. Run Skylake on DDR3 can potentially cause damage.
