So far so good. The price was not bad, and I can use it to play Battlefield 4. Fast enough to do everything else.

This laptop has been put to great use at my university. Has no problems running any of the software my engineering department provides. Battery lasts roughly 4 hours on a full charge. Overall not a very heavy laptop and I really like the aluminum case although it does attract your finger marks alot. Very happy with purchase

Thin laptop relatively light for its size. Got it for 800 when it went on sale. Great deal. Hdd is slow but there's an empty m.2 PCIe x4 nvme and the hdd can be easily replaced. Also an empty ddr4 r slot. Screws on the bottom aren't that great and need t4-t6 screwdriver.

I got this laptop when it was on sale and at that price, it's a superb value. Very good specs, easily upgradeable with the spare RAM memory slot and the M.2 SSD slot. So you can easily have 16GB of memory and any SSD you want to augment the 1TB hard drive included with the laptop. Suggest to move the OS to the SSD and use the hard drive for storing files.

I caught this laptop while it was $200 off. A couple days after ordering, Best Buy had an addiriontal $100 off during a flash sale. I called Best Buy and the immediately refunded me the additional $106 (inc. tax). Laptop is phenomenal and I would definitely recommend to anyone shopping for a laptop.

Didn't need a full on gaming computer just wanted to upgrade my old HP laptop it just was not getting the job done. What a difference in quality. I'm so impressed with ASUS. This by far the best value you can get in a laptop.

Haven't tried running via the usb ethernet but works fine on wi-fi. Runs WoW, on Ultra at over 100fps,. Runs LoL and every other game we've thrown at it. Bought it as an out of box item,. Not sure why it was returned. It was an even better deal at 1/3 off. It did take a bit to figure out how to tell it to default to the secondary video card rather than the standard HD graphics.

This is a Gamer laptop but the start up is too slow, run most of the games that I tried but in Medium Settings.

well i had this for my Sister and she loves it, it's super thin good build quality and plays the latest games even at hi settings, i play dota 2 and i put it on full HD and all the bells and whistles on and still 120FPS! OMG!

This is my second ROG. While I absolutely love my daily gaming machine, this particular ROG is lighter and easier to transport. My wife absolutely loves this one. I love ASUS products.

My games have run smoothly and it does everything I need it to.

I was leaning towards buying the best ASUS Zenbook in this price range when the new ROG G501VW went on sale. The latest ROG laptops are usually well above $1,000. Older models may dip below that but they have older 4th or 5th generation Intel processors, are thicker/heavier and give you 3-5 hours battery life on idle. This ROG G501VW is thin like a Zenbook, lasts about 6 hours idle thanks to the 6th generation Intel, runs very cool and quiet until you start playing a game with the GeForce GPU selected through an Nvidia application. The screen can be bright and you can make out what is on it from any angle. The keyboard is back-lit with adjustable brightness. Get used to having your finger oil showing all over it: fighting it is losing battle. It is disappointing that this configuration doesn't have an SSD. I feel that white painted letters on the keyboard would have been just as effective without consuming power, There is NO Thunderbolt connector, the picture in the store is of a different configuration. However, there are a 3 regular USB ports and 1 of those new USB 3.1 connectors. I found all of this perfectly acceptable and would recommend this laptop to anyone.

You will not believe how thin this laptop is. So powerful and fast, i like the fact that i has the numeric keypad. The material feels just about right but yes as every other laptop it can get dirty when you have some grease on your hands and leave a mark. First time with windows 10 and it has been really easy to use it. you can get 5 hrs o battery if you are just surfing the net and doing simple stuff.

The first moment when I unboxed this laptop was amazing. It looks sexy but powerful. The only thing which I don't like is its HDD; however, it doesn't matter because it can be easily replaced by an SSD (much cheaper than before). Love it!

This computer is awesome! Even though the sale is off on it, I still recommend buying!
