• You can connect 2 monitors using different confugurations, 2 HDMI, 1 display port and 1 HDMI or 2 display port cables, base on your preferences.

• My model has three display ports and one HDMI port. For two high refresh monitors, I believe DisplayPort offers the highest refresh rate, so you would want to use two display ports. For lower refresh rate monitors I don't think it would matter.
