I would recommend a samsung screen. Replacing is pretty simple, youtube will have directions on how to replace it or some computer repair place should do it.

Please try again later.I agree i wish i could have got a model with better display, i have an older asus and this display is just as bad as that one... sorry this is not answer to your question but more of an agreement. I have read on the net that asus manufacturers a version of this with a 980 gtx and ips screen with 16gb of memory but i have never seen it, this unit sold buy best buy seems to be a budget exclusive. The screen is really annoying i have to tilt it backwards to be able to get any real contrast, it is that bad.
