Check your Power plan settings, you might have a maximum power setting when plugged in. Also you should have an app called "ROG gaming center" you can just search ROG in the start menu, and it should show up. There you can choose what fan speed you want to use. Just remember if your watching YouTube or just internet browsing silent is fine; however, when gaming i would recommend fan over boast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's most likely your performance default settings. The system might be set to perform at a lower level when it is on battery power to conserve. You can fix with with the pre-installed ASUS apps. There should be one for fan speeds/performance settings.
