“I have a Razer Blade 2017 laptop with the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060. The laptop doesn't have Displayport outlet and the monitor does not support HDMI 2.0. The laptop does have a USB C/Thunderbolt connection, so will a Displayport to USB C support 144hz? Thx”

You would have to look at the manufacturers website to know for sure. I would say probably not however, a lot of the time there will be exceptions noted in the manual of the item you purchased it with to tell what 144hz would require.
