“I have a friend who is coming over to my country from the US and he is buying this laptop for me. Does this have international warranty? I talked to BestBuy Support, they said yes. But I saw someone say it does not. Can somebody please confirm this to me?”

Your laptop will most likely be region locked to the US because that's where it was intended to be used. Out of the box warranty might not be honored in another country. If you bought a GeekSquad protection plan, I believe that it is international.
