A:AnswerThe 1gb ssd is fine and you can use the m15 out of box. I got it on January finding it has bloated software and randomly shuts down even when not playing a game running at only 60 C. I don't think it's a great buy at $1500 but bestbuy has only a 14 day return policy and a geeksquad service coverage was offered at a massive $250. Bestbuy really needs to up thiet game for my future purchases will be from Asus or Alienware themselves by passing the big box retailers.
A:AnswerSo far this laptop is working well with the Adobe Creative Cloud. I use it for photo editing and it has been seamless. There is no lag time in Lightroom, which is what I use most. I would assume that it would perform equally well with the rest of the creative cloud apps.
A:AnswerThe screen is 3840 x 2160 resolution. The resolution of the content itself will depending on your provider. Please contact the providers for more information on what resolution their content is available in.
A:AnswerI got conflicting messages from ASUS as to the open-box laptop warranty. When I called ASUS customer service, I was told yes the open-box laptop for this model has the same one-year warranty. But an e-mail reply I got from ASUS customer support says that the open-box purchase only has 90-day warranty. Below is the exact wording from the ASUS e-mail reply:
"Once the unit purchase is an open box, only 90 days warranty is provided for that device. In terms of Best Buy saying that you have the same 1-year manufacturer warranty from the purchase date as the new laptops have, you will need to verify that information with them."
A:AnswerOne RAM slot can be upgraded to 16GB max, for a total system memory of 24GB. This model also supports one additional M.2 drive. https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/GamingNB/GU502LU/E16075_GU502LWS_LVS_LU_LI_Upgrade_Guide_WEB.pdf
A:AnswerI recommend you get the 240hz one unless you have a monitor that runs more than 60hz. The computer has options to put your computer on silent mode, performance, and turbo. The choice is yours but the silent it is the less frames it will run.
