Q: QuestionIs that an SPDIF out port on the top right corner, and if so does the card come with a cable to connect that to a video card?I have a GeForce 9800 GTX with SPDIF in, so I can use audio over HDMI/DVI. I'd like to know if the sound card supports this, and if it does, I'd like to know if the cable is included or if I'll have to track one down separately. (If I have to track one down separately, please let me know if I can buy one from you at the same time I buy the card.) Thanks.

• A:Answer Even though the HP motherboard may have an integrated audio board it should have an available PCI slot for a better sound system such as the Xonar audio. Make sure that 1.) there's an available PCI slot on the motherboard and 2.) that the case has a removable panel that lines up with the PCI Card.

Q: QuestionOk so my computer came without a soundcard. Does that mean I do not have a slot for it? ANd if it has a slot could you install it?

• A:Answer Generally sound comes on-board and the inputs are on the motherboard itself where the other connections reside. If for some reason this is not, a sound card is needed. The owner will need to identify internally what slots the motherboard has (such as PCI-E x1, x16, etc). The appropriate sound card is purchased & is installed into that slot. Best Buy does offer hardware installation.

• A:Answer Most likely not. The vast majority of cards won't fit in a laptop, and even fewer laptops have enough PCI slots. Check your manufacturer details to find out.

• A:Answer I believe SONY MODEL PCG-9Y3L is a laptop computer. This sound card will only work in a Desktop computer with a standard PCI slot.
