I find this to be an excellent laptop. If he is primarily using a laptop for casual use, it may be more than he needs. I got this laptop to use for college because it's fast and can handle a lot of multitasking. It also has a lot of storage space. So if he doesn't need all that a good option would be something with an Intel Core i5 or Ryzen 5, and 8GB of memory so that it will still be pretty fast, but not more than needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.GyroscopicDesigns has the most accurate assessment. Whoever said Excel won't run on this if you leave it in S Mode is way off--Microsoft Excel is a Microsoft product, and Windows in S Mode will work with any Microsoft product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This one might be a little more than needed but it will outlast something cheaper. Its been a great laptop for me and i push it to its limits
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes this would be great for what he needs and more, but if it’s true that this sports the Windows S-Mode then you will need to upgrade for free to Windows Home. Else Excel etc won’t run.
