- Answer No. Windows 8 RT devices like the VivoTab RT use the Windows Store to download/install apps. Functionally, it's the same thing. But not all Android Market apps are available for Windows 8 in the Windows Store. If there are Android apps that are critical to you, you should review there Windows market availability ahead of time. Go to: http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows-8/apps

QuestionCompatibility with oder versions of MS office, Image tracing, digitizer pen1. With MS Word 2013 RT in this tablet, is it possible to open and edit documents created using, say, MS Word 2007? How about opening and editing documents created with MS Word 2013 RT using older versions of Word? 2. Is there an App or an installed program that can be used for tracing images (Eg:http://www.samsungapps.com/mars/topApps/topAppsDetail.as?COUNTRY_CODE=USA&productId=G00006138566&_isAppsDep=Y) 3. - Answer Yes the version of Office is compatible with previous versions. If you create a document on Word 2013 RT, make sure you save in a compatible mode. It does not come with an image tracing app. Yes, digitizer pens will work on the VivoTab as long as it is made to be used with a capacitive display.

- Answer No, Adobe has pulled support for Flash on all newer Android devices, so this will not have Flash support anymore. You can, however, install Flash manually, but it will not be able to play Facebook games smoothly. Facebook games were not meant for tablets and will have trouble playing.

QuestionHow can I get the free keyboard/dock that Asus claims purchasers of the Vivo Tab RT are elligible for?I purchased the Vivo Tab RT on opening day, 10/26, in the store, minutes after opening. I am an early adopter. Supposedly, there is a deal where Asus will supply a free keyboard/dock to those who purchase the tablet before 12/30 (as shown here: http://event.asus.com/Vivotab/Mobile_Dock/). I have submitted the appropriate documentation through their website weeks ago, but no indication that my application is even being processed. When I have called their customer service to inquire, I am getting a claim that these keyboards are supposed to be fulfilled by Best Buy. When I inquired at Best Buy store 425, they knew nothing about any keyboard. So, is the keyboard/dock a lie? If so, why should anyone pay $599 for the Vivo Tab RT when the Surface can be had with a keyboard for the same price?

- Answer If you purchased your tablet from Best Buy, you are supposed to get the free dock from them. The Asus Free Dock event site will not process your request if the purchase was from one of the places that do not qualify, Best Buy being one of them. Please speak to another associate.

- Answer No. The Windows 8 RT is not like your regular Windows. You can only download and install programs or applications that are available on the Microsoft App Store.

- Answer The USB port on the docking station/keyboard will act just like one on a regular laptop. So yes, you can use it to transfer files to and from the device.

QuestionCan it use a digitizer pen?I own an Asus EP121 tablet, which uses a digitizer pen designed by Wacom. I use this primarily to take notes for classes. The digitizer pen on the Windows 7 OS was sufficient and versatile enough for my needs- I like the idea of being able to use Microsoft Office OneNote and use a pen to write what I need regardless of what I am trying to write, especially since I am taking a lot of classes that require a lot of special characters that I simply do not have the time to look up such as those in Physics, Calculus, and Organic Chemistry. However, the battery life leaves much to be desired. I realized that the VivoTab RT, having a greater battery life, would prove to be a better asset. I just need to know if the VivoTab RT have the ability to use a digitizer pen (such as those made by Wacom) so that I can still use it the same way I have been using my current tablet. On a side note, I also like the idea of having an attachable keyboard that can potentially extend my battery life without having to plug in.

- Answer The VivoTab and the EP121 uses the same type of capacitive screen so your pen will work. You can utilize specific apps that will let you hand write your notes, like SuperNote, which comes bundled with the VivoTab.
