You can use WiFi or hard cable Ethernet from the primary router to the second router. The second router can be configured to be a range extender/repeater and allow you to increase the signal from the primary router to places in your house where there’s dead spots or slow/lag areas via WiFi or Ethernet hard cable. ASUS has a range extender as well—the ASUS RP-AC1900.
