  • QuestionDoes the second router require a wired connection, too, or does it connect to the primary router wirelessly?

    Asked by CubeMonkey.

    • Answer You can use WiFi or hard cable Ethernet from the primary router to the second router. The second router can be configured to be a range extender/repeater and allow you to increase the signal from the primary router to places in your house where there’s dead spots or slow/lag areas via WiFi or Ethernet hard cable. ASUS has a range extender as well—the ASUS RP-AC1900.

  • QuestionIs this 2 aimesh routers

    Asked by Eddie.

    • Answer Eddie, it looks like it’s a package of two ASUS RT-AC68U Dual Band Wireless - AC1900 Gigabit WiFi Routers (the cost of one router is about $137, as of 8/3/2020, which is probably why it’s over $200 for this item). One router would be the primary WiFi router and the other would be your repeater/range extender that would be connected via WiFi wirelessly or hard jacked with an Ethernet cable to boost the signals in your house where you have dead spots or slow/lag spots.
