A:AnswerUse the old router as an AP (Access Point: old router WIFI disabled) in another area of the home where you may have weak signals due to obstructions. To do this the AP must be set-up in a specific manner and you need to be able to somehow run a cable from the Better (New Internet/Wifi router-modem) to the place you'll be setting-up the AP to allow a direct Ethernet connect and disable the some AP WiFI features. Advantage over WIFI extenders (don't always work real well, cost, and you'll be connected via Ethernet (faster than WIFI and more reliable connection) direct to the to the Better (New Internet/Wifi router-modem). You'll need to do a few easy changes to match your New Internet/Wifi router/modem to the AP (old modem) internal data to wander thru your home and stay connected that are spelled out at the site recommended here. Check here for details on setup:

A:AnswerHi! I will say that you will be very happy with the Asus router. We had a Linksys and were very limited on how far we could go and how many products that were on it. If more than 2 or 3 things were on the Linksys at a time then someone or something would get cut off. We have 2 Smart TV's, a PS3, a DVR, 3 Laptops, 2 Smart Phones, an Ipad, a desktop computer and a Wii all relying on that router. Since we switched to the Asus I have had all on at the same time just "to see" if something would lose connection and nothing did. Plus, neighborhood kids came over and connected to play games...still nothing lost connection. Plus, the distance you can go is much greater inside and outside. We love it and so glad we switched. I highly recommend it and I think it would more than work for your small office.
