• Attach the base unit to the phone line, and the other phones report to it! One hook up is all that is necessary! You do have to plug it to electricity, to keep it charged.

• No, the cordless extension does not require attachment to the home line at it's location.

• The main "Base unit" does require a connection to the phone line. The additional hand sets sit in charging units that simply need to be plugged into a power outlet for keep charged.
