QuestionWhat is the quality of the speaker phone? Is it clear? And when you play back messages from the answering machine, is it loud and clear? The reason I ask is that I just purchased (and returned) a Panasonic unit because the speaker phone was awful

- Answer Attach the base unit to the phone line, and the other phones report to it! One hook up is all that is necessary! You do have to plug it to electricity, to keep it charged.

- Answer You cannot use a wired headset, but you can use a wireless one. According to the Abridged User's Manual, "Your telephone can support up to 12 DECT 6.0 cordless handsets (AT&T model CL80114, sold separately) or up to 10 cordless handsets and 2 cordless headsets or speakerphones (sold separately)."

QuestionWhat is the standby and talk times on these phones? Everything is listed but this. Thank you.

- Answer According to the Abridged User's Manual, the cordless handset talk time is "up to 7 hours" and the standby time is "up to 7 days," with the following AT&T caveat: "Operating times vary depending on your actual use and the age of the battery."

- Answer You can block numbers but there is a limited quantity. I cannot remember exactly how many it allows. It is buried in the owner's manual though.

- Answer I have an old house with latte plaster walls. I haven't had any problems, but we have 4 headsets, one on each floor with two on the main floor. So far, no problems

- Answer If by "phone lines" you mean incoming lines, then the answer is one -- this is a single-line (not 2-line) phone. If, however, you mean "how many cordless handsets does it handle," the maximum number is 12 handsets (the 4 included ones and up to 8 additional/optional ones).
