How far away can handset be from base unit? null

I can walk all the way out to the street to our mailbox, approximately 75 yards and have reliable connection.

I have used one of the handsets outside the house and perhaps 100 feet away from the unit with no concern or loss of service or sound quality.

I've been about 20 feet from the base and about the same distance with the extension phones from their docking bases.
