QuestionIs this guaranteed to work? If there is no at&t cell signal in the area it’s being used, would there still be internet signal? I have an iPhone 6s that I can use WiFi to call on.. just have to find a way to get WiF there..

- Answer I don't know if you could get the unlimited plan. But all of the other plans you will pretty much end up paying by the amount of GBs you use.

- Answer I think it depends on your carrier and your subscription plan. I'm on AT&T, have a family share plan where we have unlimited call minutes, unlimited texting and the family shares a fixed amount of data. This hot spot is counted as a device on my plan (takes data from my fixed amount) and I'm charged $20 a month for it.

- Answer Yes. I have used it on the Pay as you go AT&T plan. This thing screams and you will use up lots of data very quickly if you aren't careful

- Answer I've recently purchased this paired with AT&T LTE service. There is a little buffering time at the beginning but YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, and HBO.Now all work great on my iPad pro. I use Chrome Cast to send the video to my TV which also works well. I'm pretty happy with it. I'm now completely wireless, no phone lines or cable coming to my home.

QuestionI live within a mile of an at&t tower, what would be the average download and upload speed with this device? And also if i buy this flatout for $200 and use a different SIM card, will it automatically activate the device or do I have to call at&t?

- Answer Depending on line of sight, I average 30-50mbps. That will differ in other areas. Just pop in your AT&T SIM and it will work.

- Answer While this is an AT&T item it is held in the back at Best Buy stores and the stores I have gotten them from only have one in stock. I had no problem finding a store that had one for pickup, but I was also looking in Cleveland and Kansas City at the time so there were several Best Buy stores to choose from. If you are in a rural location you may have to drive, but be sure that you order for in store pickup as with them most likely having just one in stock you don’t want to drive to only find out they sold it before you got there.

QuestionI understand that this unit has the ability to use external antennas. What antennas work with this? With external antennas, is the range of this device greater than I would expect from my phone?

- Answer I’ve had negative gain using the Netgear external antennas. If you really need one, find a better MIMO “yagi” to go outside. Range willl be the same as a modern 2016/2017 cellphone with MIMO. I have noticed it’s signal to noise ratio is better than the intel based iPhone X, and the galaxy 6. You will only notice better speeds in a 1 bar area. With 3-4 bars Your probably speed limited by the carriers network.

- Answer It will use the single external source and cellular as backup when it’s offline. It does not combine for aggregate bandwidth.

- Answer Yes, you can connect your home computer to it. It looks just like any other WiFi to other devices. Data limit and throttling is up to your specific service provider. Although this is an “ATT” hot spot, I use cricket wireless on my ( just a matter of swapping SIM cards )

- Answer Definitely not just input. The reason I bought this in place of the former hotspot I had from AT&T was that it had the Ethernet port that I could hook into an Ethernet switch and comminicate off the grid at my corporate office. With the WiFi only hot spots I was getting disconnects constantly even if I set my device on the hotspot because there was so much WiFi coming from the Corporate network that it overpowered the tiny mobile hotspot.

- Answer My device was not carrier locked even at the $49 price. Of course I’ve got a contract, but other sims work too.
