Q: QuestionThe 35.8" for height, is that for the secondary riser part in the back that you would put a monitor on? Because that seems way too high for the main part of the desktop. The old table I have now in my room is about 30" and that's as high as I want to go.

• A:Answer Just measured the top of main desk. You're correct about the monitor riser. The top surface of the main desk is 29.25" from the ground. Hope this helps. I've enjoyed it so far for my xbox gaming.

Yes, the Monitor stand is part of the desk as well as the built-in metal wire holders for your headphone, 6"x5" speakers, controllers, an underside basket and even a cup holder. The next two are "lifestyle" images, this shows you what it might look like with a monitor on the stand, monitor on a mount, your favorite movies and a cold drink perhaps. • A:Answer You can choose not to add them when you’re putting it together. Each piece is held on with a few screws so if you do put them on you can just unscrew them to take them off. They’re just add ons and the desk works fine without them.
