• The whole contraption is under $20 w/ tax and all but dvds/blurays aren't heavy. I personally wasn't expecting miracles, but something that was "stable enough" for a tucked away media library. The kit comes with wall mounts, anchors and screws. to stabilize the unit. I bought 2 of this product.

• I didn't attach it to the wall. It's not strong and yes, I too would consider it flimsy. However, it's inexpensive and does what I wanted it to do. It stores DVD's and didn't fall apart yet.
