• A:Answer The ATR6550x Shotgun Microphone features a 3.5mm TRS type plug for use with a 3.5mm MIC input jack. The plug is the Tip, Ring, Sleeve type which typically indicates a stereo connection but, in this case, it is wired as dual mono in order to put the signal on both the Left and Right sides of a stereo audio track because the 3.5mm MIC jack on equipment today is typically a stereo jack. If you have an interface that has only an XLR type MIC input jack, consider a different model microphone, such as the AT897 instead.

Q: QuestionYes, hello I was wondering if this would be a good microphone for recording in a club. Or theater setting… from the audience. That is also. Do you know if the Samsung Galaxy quarter inch port can dual as an input for a microphone? Such as this ?

Q: QuestionWill this microphone pick up speech 50 to 75 feet away? If not, how far away is it capable of picking up speech (normal level, no yelling)???

• A:Answer No, it will not. The maximum distance from the person speaking is around 3 feet for intelligible audio with minima background noise. You will need a parabolic dish microphone to acquire speech at this distance.
