• The arrows should be pointing towards the TV's HDMI input.

• Matt, On the box it explains that the audio return channel portion of the HDMI cable is not affected. My guess is, Audio Quest has the ARC portion running separately inside of the jacket. So continue with the directional arrows and the audio return channel will take care of itself.

• Arrow that is going down out of is from source like 4k player, Apple TV, Roku 4k box. Arrow pointing to tv which arrow to tv or Soundbar

• The arrows should be facing towards the device you are trying to control with ARC.
