- Answer Hello, The DVI to HDMI adapter will allow you to plug an HDMI cable into a DVI input on your TV, but the DVI input supports video only, not audio. So, while you may be able to get a picture, you won't have any sound coming through the DVI connection unfortunately.

QuestionI will use this connector to connect the female socket on my CPU to a HDMI cable which plugs into my TV. The Video will show on my TV, but will the audio come through my computer speakers? Will the picture & sound be in sink?

- Answer Are you looking for an adapter to convert HDMI to DVI (or vice versa)? We have both. Please note that as DVI is a video-only format, there will be no audio signal.

- Answer Hello, this is not a powered, or active, adapter. It is one solid machined piece with a female HDMI connection on one end and a male DVI connection on the other end.
