The "Connect" device needs to be within communication distance of each August lock you wish to control while away from your home. So if every August lock is close enough to communicate with one single "Connect" device (which is rare - why would a builder put access doors THAT close together in a home), then you will only need one. OR, if your home is small enough (< 400-500sq.ft.)... you might be able to get away with only one "Connect" device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Each lock can only be paired with one connect device. However, you don’t need a connect device if it’s on a door which you don’t need to control beyond Bluetooth range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, a connect device will need to be present within 10 feet of each locking mechanism.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.since the lock requires a connect device within 10 ft of the lock, i think you have to install a separate connect device for every lock.
