• This smart lock is compatible with any home alarm that has Z-Wave. I believe Simplisafe approved it for their alarm system as well.

• No it will not hook up to the alarm. I have not seen it advertised as such

• From everything I read, there are alarm systems that will work with August. They do sell them at Best Buy however, the biggest benefit is the fact that you can look at the app to see who has used a code, or app to get into the house.
