“2011 chevy silverado wire harness I purchased a JVC KWR910BT for my 2011 Silverado and I'm trying to find out what kind of wire harness I need to connect to the factory harness. I've read that there is a special harness for new chevys do to the onstar and other effects. My truck does not have onstar and would like to know if there is another harness to use.”

if it's a 05 or newer you need then$100+ wire harness. My 06 impala doesn't have on star and I still needed it. You will see. A regular wire harness won't work because there is 2 connections coming from your dash and a regular wire harness only has 1. So to answer your question u have to buy the expensive one. Yea they get us some how some way!!!
