Q: QuestionDoes it need to go to outside air for the external exhaust?
Asked by rcf2221.
- A:Answer The Bambu X2D has a 3-stage filter setup: 1. G3 pre-filter - catches larger dust/particles. 2. H12 HEPA filter - catches fine particulate from printing. 3. Activated carbon filter - Bambu lists it as granulated coconut-shell activated carbon, meant for odor/VOC reduction. With asa or and it will still stink. So you might want to ventilate the room when doing that type of filament.

Q: QuestionHow is it possible that some people were able to purchase the X2D from the Best Buy website when first released?
Asked by Pickled.
- A:Answer I was working a late shift and my lunch was 2AM, searched around to see if anyone had it just-in-case, boom, it had been listed when it was not the day before.

Q: QuestionI have ordered this product already, do I have to buy filament separately, or is it sent with a starter amount?
Asked by Legaldealer.
- A:Answer You need to buy your own filament. If you buy Bambu filament it will have an rfid tag that will be automatically recognized by the AMS. You can use third party filaments, but you have to tell the printer what type of filament you are using. Make sure you buy a PLA filament. It is a great filament to start with. Also this is dual nozzle, so you'll want at least two. I would recommend one white PLA and one black PLA and then you can print the panda test file included with the printer. Finally, buy the 1 kg size as that spool fits the AMS without the need for any adapter. Happy printing.

Q: Questionis this machine dual voltage (110/220v) ?
Asked by emiliano.
- A:Answer Bambu lists two regional voltage versions: Version Input voltage Max power Low-voltage / US type 100–120 VAC, 50/60 Hz 1100 W @ 110 V High-voltage 200–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz 1600 W @ 220 V Bambu also says the printer’s voltage spec varies by sales region and to check the label next to the power socket before use. So for a US-bought X2D: treat it as 120 V only unless the rear label specifically says 100–240 V.
