• These headphones are over-the-ear, noise canceling and weigh 2.7 lbs. Beats Solo3 are on the ear, not noise canceling and weigh 0.5 lbs.

• 2.7 pounds is the weight of the whole box ( cables, manuals, case, etc.) weight of this headphones is only 9.1 oz.

• Studio's cover your ear and solo's go on your ear! Studio's are outside noise cancelling and solo's don't have that feature!!!!

• The Studios sound better, plain and simple. Plus they have some form of mild noise cancelling.
