• It supports data and charging, but the problem is that it can't support Apple's full charging spec and will not charge your Apple device at maximum speed possible when hooked to an Apple charger.

• I cannot speak to certification, but I confirm that it charges my 2018 MBA and connects it to my external drive. It transfers data fast. I run my games and iTunes library from an external drive using this cable.

• No, it's not, Strawberry. Moreover, this Belkin cable supports up to 100 W charging power and up to 10 Gbps data transfer speeds.
