This would be ideal for the Microsoft Surface or something that has limited USB ports and you also need an Ethernet port. This would not connect you to the internet by itself, nor is it WiFi capable. You could use this to hardwire an ethernet cable to your internet router. Also it would expand your USB ports if you need more than is on your computer or tablet.
