“Has anyone had problems with the ports being loose and sloppy? We plug our mouse into it and it intermittently 'cuts out'. Check it out and the plug in the port is quite sloppy. Any brand recommendations that have tighter ports?”

I didn't have any problems at all with the ports being loose. I routinely run my wireless mouse off this hub and it doesn't give me any problems whatsoever. Maybe the hub you have is a one-off and not the norm?
