I have not seen any problem when switching from extended network to original network, but I have not tried to watch a streaming movie while switching. You may need to pause the movie, switch the network, and then un-pause.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. After the initial setup, you can rename the SSID that is created to match your original SSID. Then it creates one network with an extended coverage range and your issue goes away. I am using it with a Linksys router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use this with a Motorola Docsis 3.0 gateway with no problems (other than what I wrote in my review). You can re-address the SSID to your primary after initial setup, reboot, and then access via your new network. Change the SSID on the network config screen. Very easy. I have yet to try "moving about the house" between primary and extender access points to see what happens. Although the SSID is the same, you will connect to one piece of hardware depending on your location. I don't know what will happen when you are completely out of range of the primary and move to extender, or vice versa. It all depends on what app is used and how it buffers.
