• Yes. Mine worked with a very old lamp.

• Yes it will however there are more cost effective solutions if you aren't going to use the remote control capabilities via the Belkin kit and app. Try Lowes or Home Depot for cheaper bulbs.

• It should, depending on the hub you use. With Wink, it probably works well. I see Smartthings and have had nothing but trouble, even though it's advertised to work with them.

• Yes, they work perfectly fine in most lamps even when you don't use the app and the wifi feature, which can be difficult to get to work, but the bulbs works perfect as LED I have one in my nightstand lamp.
