I am a renter, and would like to have a single switch in my basement that would turn on multiple light bulbs plugged into outlets (via lamps) that are on a separate power circuit without having to hardwire them together. The added convenience of an actual switch on the wall and the app on my phone is preferred.”

Yes, you can add more bulbs. Just screw in the bulb where you need them, go to the app and search for new devices, then link. The rest is the same as before. You may need to update the app if you can't see the 'add new devices' link. Just delete the app and reinstall. It should be there.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Whatever light/ lights that particular switch controls can be turned off and on by that one wemo switch. Another option may be for you to just get the wemo bulbs and program them to turn on as a group. Bulbs are cheaper and when grouped you can switch it on with a smartphone when you are heading down and all the lights in that group will turn on.
