I already have 2 of their light switches. The switches are great, but the App has bugs and does not have as many features as I've come to expect with tech software. I decided to stick with Belkin for light bulbs for one reason, the ability to dim them and have them dim as the timer expires (really cool for kids bedroom). They do work this way, although setting the timer and the fader is a pain... Typical on/off, can set rules (that usually work). Fader and timer (with a horrible way to select non-preset times). The light bulbs do take a few extra seconds to register when you open the app. My switches are ready/active within about 5s of opening the app. These lights take another 5s or so. Again, great lights, poor App software. Hopefully they do a complete rewrite of their software at some point to really lead the pact of home automation products.

These bulbs are easy to install, the app is easy to use, and they have good color. The ability to dim the bulbs definitely adds a nice touch to any room. One draw back to dimming that I found is the lights make a high pitch noise if they are not at 100%. It is the noise a tube TV makes being on in a room with the sound muted. If you do not have sensitive hearing or the lights are not going to be bed side than they are perfect. I currently have 4 lights and plan to buy more.

This is a great replacement for those old bulky timers. It works well and you can actually tell if your lights are on (no more guessing). Using the sunrise/sunset helps to save energy by adjusting the time at which the lights go off/on. I will definitely be getting more WeMo devices to control items in my house

The future is now! These work great but setup is a little tough because the WEMO Link does a firmware update once you plug it in. I love all my Wemo products and these lights are no exception. I am away from home a lot so they are perfect for security or just to have a light on when you come home after dark. The ability to dim the lights is a great feature. Extremely easy to set up.

It's a good product. I use it daily. The app can be temperamental, but still works nicely. I originally bought it because I was traveling for a month. The challenge was, not all countries I visited had wifi. Therefore, I couldn't use the app to control the lights. Now I use it daily when I'm getting in late.

I love this light set . It is so helpful. I don't have to ever worry about forgetting to turn off the lights . I wake up to light so it comes in handy as a second alarm. Definitely recommend. Never walk into a dark house again.

I purchased this kit so that I could have two lights that dim at a preset time in my kids bedrooms. The lights work pretty well but the wemo software on the android phone is not as good/easy to use as it could be. However, this was a cheaper option than two z-wave dimmer switches.

This is exactly what people that work most of the day need in order to give the appearance that someone is home. It's cheaper than having an alarm, best part is that you can control it even when you're miles away or in another state as long as you have wifi. Surprisingly enough even when I'm not connected into a wireless network I can still turn on/off the lights as I tested this while I was driving on my way home. Very convenient comes with 2 light bulbs so you can set up the best locations in your house and can control them separately and either make it dimmer or brighter

Fairly simple to install and works ok when the app doesn't crash on you or doesn't recognize the device which tends to happen very often. If Belkin focuses more on the App to work better with this product then it will deserve a higher rating but they're not there yet. recommend if price drops and the app gets improved as it will be the only way to operate the light bulbs

WeMo needs to make the app password protected. Currently, as the system is, anyone can download the app on my network and be able to operate my lights... I really do not like this at all, but it is only lights...I know. Even so, they should make you sign in with a password, you could always set to remember password also. Otherwise, fantastic product and works great!!! No more plug in timers!

if you're into gadgets, like me, and also like lights to come on automatically when you're away, like me, the Wemo range is for you. The light kit is great; just plug in the Wemo Link, screw in the bulbs wherever you want, sync them to the Link and off you go. You can set rules in the app to have come on when you want - it knows where the bulbs are so they can switch on at sunset, or a range of variants around it (the same for sunrise for switching off). There can be the occasional hiccup when it temporarily loses contact with the wifi, but it seems to correct itself. With the app, you can also add more bulbs should - and you probably will - want to change out more. So make the switch and enjoy.

I bought the starter kit and set up the 2 bulbs. They worked well. I have since added 4 more lights and they all work well. The set up is very easy. The app will update to the newer version when you first set up. It will take up to 10 minutes for the update. Once it is updated the rest of the set up is very fast. I have 4 of the lights outside and they are a great security. Belkin does not mention these bulbs as outside use but they work well. I have added a camera as well to my set up. Try them. You will love them.bi have set them up for a few friends as well.

The idea is great and seems like it should be super easy to setup, but it didn't seem to work 100% of the time. Updated the firmware, reset the units, deleted app off phone and reloaded. Seemed to work then about 90% of the time. Seems like still has a ways to go.

I recently purchased the Philips Hue bulbs and was excited to get the mood just right! However, the app was horrible and my bulbs could not produce green or blue. I decided I didn't need to pay extra to get a little color in the house. I was able to pick up these and man they function wonderfully. Purchased 4 bulbs plus the starter kit for even cheaper than just the Hue starter kit. Definitely worth the money and play very well with the WEMO switches I already have.

These lights work great, with the only exception being that the app doesn't work correctly sometimes, but those occurrences are few and far between.

I travel a lot for work and I had the porch light and an inside light on 24/7. That just tells people you're not home. I bought this and picked the option to have the porch light come on at sunset and off at sunrise. The time changes slightly each day. I have one light that comes on and off at a set time, and a third bulb that I bought that comes on and off at random times. You can change things, including dimming, a light using an app on your phone. It was a little difficult to set up, but overall I'm very happy. I've recommended to other people.

The lightbulbs are LED and give excellent lighting. The WeMo is small and inconspicuous and allows me to turn my lights on and off (you must leave them on at the source) both at home and away using my smartphone. It provides an "away" setting so that the lights turn on and off randomly so it appears as if someone is home. I had some problems initially setting up the WeMo, but unplugging it and then plugging it in again pushing the reset button has it working perfectly, and I was able to do this without having to contact customer support.
