The lightstrip plugs into a wifi link that plugs into the wall. Everything is provided in the box.

It uses outlet power. It uses a wall wart and accepts a standard DC barrel connector, so you should be able to use an alternative supply if you want.

The Osram Lightify Flex plugs into an outlet. The part that plus into the outlet is about the size of a phone charger.

It is hardwired ... but as I have said in my review, Belkin has announced it prematurely ... the thing simply does not work and Belkin Customer Support doesn't even know what the flexstrip is.

You have to plug the strip into a power outlet. The strip runs into a power supply that plugs directly into the wall.
