Q: QuestionAre there any chemicals used in the manufacturing process of grill that can be released from scratching grill surface or just plan cooking at high temps? I have cancer and I don't want to be adding any chemicals that can be released into our food.

• A:Answer The griddle, the part that heats is approximately 9 3/4 by 15 3/4. The overall size 11 1/4 by 19 1/4. The cord is 25 inches long from plug to temperature controler. Controler and cord unplug from the griddle.
