all you need to dehydrate is a low heat source --- i am considering this for air fryer -- but i have a dehydrator and all it is is a low temp oven -- ussually says set at 140* --- so any heat source that has a low enough setting can be used as a dehydrator --- even your reg oven or an aluminum or steel bow setting in the sun --- there are videos on you tube explaining ways to dehydrate -- if interested -- be thee well
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have been dehydrating lots of fruit. It works great, but you need to monitor the progress . I used the preset the first time and the fruit was very hard which is OK if you want "chips." I started monitoring the progress after 4 or 5 hours and decreased the remaining time to get firm, but not crisp results.

Time can be set between 1 hr . and 24 hrs. at 1 hr. intervals. Temperature can be set between 150 to 400 degrees (at which point, I don't think you are dehydrating any longer) at 5 degree intervals.
