No thanks to the BELLA team for their unhelpful answer. For the person who said all fryers are just as loud, why is the NINJA I bought to replace this piece of junk not nearly as loud? The NINJA's beep is also fun sounding. Plays a little short tune, unlike this one which sounds like an annoying smoke alarm! :)

Plus it is a safety feature if u have children who want to explore and open it like they do with the oven . I live alone and I may be upstairs and forget that I was cooking until I hear the beeps . I think it's a very good safety feature.
