QuestionThree years ago, I bought a Samsung Smart TV at Best Buy. I also bought a five-year warranty Geek Squad Protection Plan to go along with it. I have both a Plan ID and a Member ID. If I buy a new Mac from Best Buy, will it be covered by the Plan?

- Answer Hello! That's a great question! Your previously purchased Geek Squad Protection plan that was purchased on your TV would not apply to your new Mac. However, if you have your My Best Buy Total Membership linked to the purchase on your new Mac, then the monthly protection plan would apply. - Answer Yes!!! absolutely they will charge you. I am also a senior and unable to bring my faulty new purchase into the store. I was told it would be $169 to come to my house. The answer to everything the geek squad does is BRING IT TO A STORE. There is no more USA geek squad they all have Indian names and accents.

Questioni JUST PURCHASED THE BB tOTAL YEARLY MEMBERSHIP, and have been charged a $29.99 charge on my AMEX card. When I called to find out what the charge is for, I was told that it covers the Webroot feature. I thought that was part of the 179.00 package.

- Answer Anti-virus is no longer included with My Best Buy Total. If you want to continue to be covered by Webroot, you would need to continue paying that anti-virus subscription fee.
