If you haven't paid for the yearly membership again for tis before the two months then i think that protection plan isn't there anymore?

TVs purchased while being a member would automatically have a two-year Best Buy protection coverage added unless you opted to purchase a Geek Squad Protection. The membership does not work retroactively however. A TV purchased prior to being a member would not have had a protection plan added to it, unless you purchased a Geek Squad Protection individually. As a member you receive a 20% discount on repair labor for any TVs that do not currently have their own coverage.
