This hooks up to the water already headed to your toilet tank. Yes, this is clean water and in almost all cases this is also cold water. If you flush your toilet and it fills with hot water, then this would be hot but you would not be able to control how hot.

Just cold. It connects directly to your toilet's water supply line, so the water is essentially room temperature. I initially wanted one that provided heated water but that would require power. I've come to the conclusion I prefer the room temp wash. Feels cleaner and more refreshing.
