A:AnswerYes, there’s two buttons on the top of the handle, one for “rug” and one for “hard floors”. There’s a trigger inside the handle to dispense the water/cleaner. If you do not press the trigger, it is just a vacuum. But once the roller is damp, it will leave a small amount of “dampness” on the floor (I’ve only done hard floors with mine and it’s a negligible amount of wetness)
A:AnswerCheck to make sure the e filter is in correctly. Mine didn't come with filter and it wouldn't pick up anything. Once I got another one and the little square filter was inserted it worked great. Make sure you have it on carpet.
A:AnswerI have not used it as vacuum on carpet. I would guess it would work but not as good as a regular vacuum. For hard wood or laminate it is perfect.
A:AnswerMy flooring in the kitchen and baths are similar to yours. If the dirt is not grounded in, the cleaning ability of the device is adequate. However, in my experience, if the dirt is ground in, it really does not clean very well.
I still like the Crosswave. It's not perfect, but it beats lugging a mop and bucket around.
